Much thanks to
glowing_dragon, who helped set me up with this account after reminding me about it for the past two months. :D
We hung out tonight at my favorite place, Boston Pizza. At least we managed to win the hockey game the Canucks played against the Avalanche... but we really need to do a better job of protecting a 5-1 lead, since it became a 6-4 game. Imagine the vibe back at Boston Pizza... "what the heck?! DAMN! AIYA!!!!" hahaha.
We had a dinner of chipotle popcorn shrimp and BBQ chicken pizza: hanging out with friends and watching / listening to the hockey game is double pleasure! (we talked about Jon, Dave, Nathan, the kids, Halloween plans, same-name syndrome, pictures, and weird stuff) It was a 5-1 game, but then the Canucks grew complacent and it ended up being 6-4. Oh well, at least we still won... when we returned here instead of watching a movie, she bugged Corey about it as per usual. She and I talked about TV, her MSN list, long-distance relationships (Corey / his ex Rachael / their story / her online friends in such relationships), high school, books, her online pals (especially Corey [
dwcorey] / Palmer [
palmer_kun] / Jasmine [
surrey_sucks] / Rachel [
cynicalsiren] / Jess [
yogaclass4cats] / Asa [
apollotiger]), CLEAN and NORMAL stories about long-distance relationships (I joked about no multiple partners or gay people :P), her 56K connection that acts much faster at times, and friends.
After that, she set me up with an LJ: we talked about names, icons, the Chinese actresses Yo-Yo Mung and Cheung Man, my interests, passwords, emails, her typing out posts for me since I was too tired to think much, and joking around about various topics. (she knows my story better than Fay and I do, haha) I borrowed three of her books, and declared that it was worth not watching a movie to just hang out and get set up with the online communities! (
randomthought,
loversfaraway, and LJ in general)
